Doyle Bell, Senior Pastor
Doyle is one of the most loving pastors you will ever meet. His love for God and for people is visible by anyone who comes into contact with him. He has been at Fellowship Baptist since February 1993 and has seen many good things happen during his tenure. Doyle has his bachelor's degree from Florida State University and his Master of Divinity degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Doyle serves in our community as a member of the board of directors for A Women's Pregnancy Center, and has served as a Trustee for the Baptist College of Florida. In his spare time, Doyle enjoys playing golf and spending time with his wife Susan. The people of Fellowship are privileged to have Doyle Bell as their pastor.
Roger Pursley, Minister of Music/Senior Adults
Roger is a talented musician and strives for excellence in everything he does. He has been at the church since November 1993. Roger loves to minister to people and meet their needs. He oversees the worship arts ministry from children through adults and works directly with the adult choir, senior adults choir, praise band, and several ensembles. He has a bachelor's degree in music education from Mississippi College and his master's degree in Church Music from Southwestern Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, Texas. Roger is very active--in his free time he enjoys spending time with his family, hunting, and fishing. He and his wife Janice are the proud parents of two daughters, Vanessa and Allison, and very proud grandparents of Preston, Payton, and Paige Keen, and Lauren Carter.
Jason Stanland Students Minister
Jason has recently joined the staff--January 5 was first Sunday with us! And we are so glad to have him. Jason comes with a wealth of experience working with students, as well as being a minister's kid. His passion is developing leaders--leaders for the church, for the community, for the country. Through teaching biblical principles and the Scripture, he challenges students to live out God's truths and impact the world around them. Jason and his wife Nicole are the parents of daughter Julia, and are expecting their second child in mid-July.
Katie Street Jones, Wee Care Child Care Center Director
Katie grew up and was baptized here at Fellowship. A graduate of Florida State University, she worked for seven years at Wee Care in various positions before becoming the director. Katie loves working with children. She says, "When I was a youth, I wanted to be in missions. But God said I didn't need to leave Tallahassee; I needed to stay here and do His work at Wee Care." She and her husband Melvin have one son and are expecting their second child in June. They are active at Fellowship as leaders of our Children's Church each Sunday morning.
Martha Thompson, Administrative Ministry Assistant
Martha answers all questions and solves all mysteries--at least in the realm of the church office. She and her family have lived in Tallahassee for a long time coming from the Amish country of Pennsylvania. Martha has a bachelor's degree in English/Writing-Literature from Eastern University outside of Philadelphia (she met her husband, Jim, there too!). Her degree and her varied work experiences are put to good use everyday. She has been in leadership in drama ministry at two churches as well as written and directed throughout the area for over twenty years. She is now widowed, and daily draws strength and joy from the caring heart of her faithful Father God. She is the proud mom to two sons, John (soon to be married) and Matthew, and is a member of Four Oaks Community Church.
Brenda Bradley, Receptionist
Brenda is the friendly voice and face you will encounter when you call or stop by the office. A native of Lakeland, she and her family have lived in Texas and North Carolina as well as Florida. Her husband, Ward, is a bi-vocational pastor and they have three children, Lauriel, Ariana (and her husband Josh), and Corin. Brenda is a wealth of information and if she doesn't know, she will find out. Her great gift of caring is evident as she deals with people in crises every day. She is often the first face of ministry at Fellowship. She is a member of Riverside Baptist Church in nearby Havana--where she especially appreciates the pastor!
Neil Brown, Bookkeeper
Neil came to Fellowship with a wealth of experience in the field of banking and in many areas of church work including administration, education, and senior adult ministry. He and his wife Cindy, a retired middle school teacher, are the proud parents of four children and nine grandchildren. They are very active members of Thomasville Road Baptist Church in Tallahassee.
Norma Jean Howard, Music Support
Norma Jean hails originally from the Macclenny area and worked in state government eventually retiring after many years with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. An active member of Fellowship and of the Sanctuary Choir, she offers wonderful assistance to the music ministry.
Thor House, Maintenance
Thor is the go-to person with all kinds of things at Fellowship. He has a wonderful ability to fix almost anything--and we put his knowledge to good use. His frugality is legend in the office! For many years, he and his late wife desired to have a home for children. When that did not happen, they added to their two sons by adopting four more. He has now added 5 grandchildren. Thor is an active member of Church of the Open Bible.
