1. Look at the definitions.
   1. Domain: exousi (ex-oo-see'-ah); privilege, mastery, delegated influence
   2. Darkness: skotos (skot,-os); shadiness, i.e. oscurity
2. It is called darkness because Satan and his boys aren't the least bit inhibited about lying, cheating, and stealing life right away from their victims.
3. This is where Satan and his team of devils are out to make you think that the only thing that matters is you and whatever it is that you want and the toys that you play with and that when it all comes down to the end, you're going to heaven because God is love and he wouldn't allow anyone to go to hell.
4. And, think about this. According to the definitions of domain and darkness, you give Satan's gang the privilege, or mastery, or influence in your life. How? By listening to them and leaning their way.
5. Who is in this domain?
   1. Satan. (Isaiah 14:12-25; Ezekiel 28:11-16; Revelation 12:3-4a)
   2. And his followers. (John 3:36)

The Question becomes: What drives your life?

1. kingdom: basileia (bas-il-i'-ah); property, royalty, i.e.(abstractly) rule, or (concretely) a realm.
2. This is where God and his ministering spirits are about telling you the truth about sin and death and the grace of God in Jesus and faith in Jesus for salvation from sin and the eternal life that is yours when you you place your faith in Jesus
3. And when you have placed your faith in Jesus as your Savior, you receive your transfer from the Domain of Darkness into the Kingdom of God and are one of the saints, living out the Christ-life in all you do.
4. Who is in the Kingdom of God? Look at those to whom Paul wrote:
   1. Saints (Colossians 1:2)
      1. hagois (hag'-ee-os); sacred (pure, morally blameless, consecrated)
5. How do these become saints?
   1. By faith in Jesus for salvation from sin. You get in by being born again. Jesus told Nicodemus that he must be born again. (see John 3:3)
6. When you trust the love of God in Christ Jesus, God moves in and you are now part of God's great Kingdom ministry. Now He is working His will in your life to make you special and loved and loving and real in Christ.
